I honestly couldn't care - it's really about having more choice ... those who want to spend more $$$ to get all the extra media crap built in can have it ... I only want to play games and it's great I can spend less to have just that ....

Easy tiger - I'm a programmer too (though not a games programmer) so I mostly understand the technicalities involved. My point is not really about how hard or easy programmers find the PS3 to program for.

It's really incredibly funny you should say that. Seeing as the PS3 is 1 year older than the xbox 360 as well, and it has 8 .... say again ... 8 cores (OK I know 1 is spare and 1 is operating system etc ) and it's supposed to have the mother of all graphics cards ...
...and yet it can only produce games that are either the same quality as the 360,...

Peronally I think these Beta releases are good for all games on all platforms ... more testing = Better Games !!!!
The great thing is that neither one will fail they are both great consoles and the fact that there is such HUGE competition is only good for gamers and the industry. So what if one sells more than the other ... It really doesn't matter ... all that matters is that because of the competition games companies invest more in building better consoles with even better games.
